(Luke 1:26-33)

In her sixth month, the angel Gaʹbri·el was sent from God to a city of Galʹi·lee named Nazʹa·reth,
27 A keghi gie ẹre uhunmwu gha rrie ọghe ọmọ okhuo ọkpa ne a ya ne okpia ọkpa ne a tie ẹre Josẹf, ọmwa nọ re uniẹn Devid. A keghi tie ọmọ okhuo nii Meri.
27 to a virgin promised in marriage to a man named Joseph of David’s house, and the name of the virgin was Mary.
28 Odibosa keghi bu ẹre gha dee, ọ tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Ọfumwegbe nọ nuẹn. Nọyaẹnmwa yaba ruẹ, ọ vbe fiangbe ruẹ ẹsẹse.”
28 And coming in, the angel said to her: “Greetings, you highly favored one, Jehovah is with you.”
29 Ẹmwẹ ne odibosa na tama Meri keghi rueghe ẹre orhiọn ẹsẹse, ọ kegha roro ẹre wẹẹ, De emwi ne a yae kha.
29 But she was deeply disturbed at his words and tried to understand what kind of greeting this might be.
30 Odibosa nii na tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Ghẹ mu ohan Meri, Osanobua ruẹ ẹse nẹ.
30 So the angel said to her: “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
31 U gha hanmwa, u gha biẹ ọmọ okpia ọkpa, u ghi he ẹre Jesu.
31 And look! you will become pregnant* and give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus.
32 Irẹn gha khian okpọmwa, a ghi vbe gha tie ẹre Ovbi Osanobua Ne Ọ Yọ Sẹ, Nọyaẹnmwa Osanobua gha ma rẹn re ọba zẹ vbe ne Devid ne erhae odede vbe gha ye.
32 This one will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father,
33 Irẹn gha rriọba yan ivbi e Jekọb ẹdẹdẹmwẹdẹ, arriọba ẹre ẹi ra mwẹ ufomwẹ.”
33 and he will rule as King over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end to his Kingdom.”
Or “will conceive in your womb.”

So the angel said to her: “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
(Luke 1:31-33)

And look! you will become pregnant* and give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus.

33 and he will rule as King over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end to his Kingdom.”

48 because he has looked upon the low position of his slave girl. For look! from now on all generations will declare me happy,

49 because the powerful One has done great deeds for me, and holy is his name,

50 and for generation after generation his mercy is upon those who fear him.

51 He has acted mightily with his arm; he has scattered those who are haughty in the intention of their hearts.

52 He has brought down powerful men from thrones and has exalted lowly ones;
53 Ọ ye emwi ni maan koko iran ne ohanmwẹ gbe ne ẹko vuọn. Ọ keghi gie iran ni fe fi abọ gha rrie.
53 he has fully satisfied hungry ones with good things and has sent away empty-handed those who had wealth.
54 Ọ mu eyan ne ọ yan ma avbe erhamwa odede sẹ. Ọ rre do ye Izrẹl ne eguọmwadia ẹre obọ.
54 He has come to the aid of Israel his servant, remembering his mercy,
55 Ọ yerre ne ọ ya mwẹ itohan ghe Ebraham. Kevbe uniẹn ivbi ẹre ẹdẹdẹmwẹdẹ!”
55 just as he spoke to our forefathers, to Abraham and to his offspring,* forever.”
Lit., “seed.”
(Luke 2:7)

And she gave birth to her son, the firstborn, and she wrapped him in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the lodging place.

There were also in the same region shepherds living out of doors and keeping watch in the night over their flocks.

9 Suddenly Jehovah’s angel stood before them, and Jehovah’s glory gleamed around them, and they became very fearful.
10 Sokpan odibo e Nọyaẹnmwa ni tama iran wẹẹ, “Wa ghẹ gie ohan mu uwa rhunmwuda iyẹn oghọghọ ne ọ gha sẹ emwa hia ọyẹnmwẹ, ọre I do na ma uwa.
10 But the angel said to them: “Do not be afraid, for look! I am declaring to you good news of a great joy that all the people will have.
11 Vbe ẹdẹnẹrẹ na, a biẹ Kristi Nọyaẹnmwa nọ re Ọmiọnmwafan uwa, vbe ẹvbo Devid.
11 For today there was born to you in David’s city a savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12 Ne uwa miẹn ehe ne tie ẹre ẹmwata, wa gha do vba ọmọ obọ ne a ye ukpọn vbuẹ vbe a muẹn lovbiẹ vbe aza emwirri.”
12 And this is a sign for you: You will find an infant wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.”
13 Vbe udemwurri, ivbiyokuo nibun ọghe odibosa ni rre ẹrinmwi keghi rhie egbe ma ba odibosa nii, iran kegha rho Osanobua vbe uyi wẹẹ:
13 Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army,* praising God and saying:
14 “Uyi nọ ne Osanobua vbe ẹrirnmwi ne ọ yo sẹ. Kevbe ọfumwegbe ne emwa ne ẹko ẹre rhiẹnrhiẹn ghe vbe agbọn!”
14 “Glory in the heights above to God, and on earth peace among men of goodwill.”
Or “host.”
(Luke 2:15-17)
Ugbẹnvbe avbe odibosa ni ghi kpa sẹ iran rae gha rrie ẹrinmwi nẹ, avbe ọsuohuan keghi gba tae wẹẹ, “Wa gie ima gha rrie Bẹtlẹhẹm ne a ya ghe emwi ne Nọyaẹnmwa do tama ima na ighẹ ọ sunu.
So when the angels had departed from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another: “Let us by all means go over to Bethʹle·hem and see what has taken place, which Jehovah has made known to us.”

16 And they went quickly and found Mary as well as Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger.
17 Ugbẹnvbe avbe Ọsuohuan ghi miẹn ọnrẹn, iran na iyẹn emwi ne avbe odibosa tama iran vbekpa ọmọ nii ma iran.”
17 When they saw this, they made known the message that they had been told concerning this young child.

Iran keghi vbe ya ye idu eva ra elikhukhu eva giẹrẹ zọ ese zẹ vbene uhi Nọyaẹnmwa kha re.
And they offered a sacrifice according to what is said in the Law of Jehovah: “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”

Vbe ẹghẹ ọkpa nii zẹẹ, rẹn keghi vbe rre, ọ rhie ekpọnmwẹ ne Osanobua, ọ keghi vbe guan vbekpa ọmọ ni ma emwa ni ghi rhie aro ye odẹ khẹ, ne Osanobua do miẹn Jerusalẹm fan.
In that very hour she came near and began giving thanks to God and speaking about the child to all who were waiting for Jerusalem’s deliverance.
(Luke 3:8)
Wa gha ru ẹmwi ne a gha ya rẹn ighẹ wa gele zobọ vbe orukhọ na ru. Wa ghẹ zẹdẹ muẹn gha ye unu gha tie, ‘lvbi Ebraham ma khin.’ Ne I tama uwa wẹẹ, Osanobua gha sẹtin viọ okuta nekhua na, ya ru igiogbẹ ne Ebraham.
Therefore, produce fruits that befit repentance. Do not start saying to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones.

Now the people were in expectation and all of them were reasoning in their hearts about John, “May he perhaps be the Christ?”
(Luke 3:22)

and the holy spirit in bodily form like a dove came down upon him, and a voice came out of heaven: “You are my Son, the beloved; I have approved you.”

When Jesus began his work, he was about
30 years old, being the son, as the opinion was, of Joseph, son of Heʹli,
(Luke 4:5-7)
Esu keghi tọẹn mu, ọ keghi ya ye ifuanro ọkpa rhie arriọba otọ agbọn hia ma rẹn.
So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time.

6 Then the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and their glory, because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
7 Adeghẹ u diguẹ mẹ, ehia ghi gha re ọghuẹ.”
7 If you, therefore, do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.”
(Luke 4:6)
Esu Tama rẹn wẹẹ, “A viọ ena hia mẹ nẹ, mẹ sẹtin vbe viọ iran ne ọmwa nọ yẹẹ mwẹ, mẹ gha viọ ẹfe kevbe ẹtin na hia nuẹn.
Then the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and their glory, because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

“Jehovah’s spirit is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor. He sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and a recovery of sight to the blind, to send the crushed ones away free,
(Luke 4:25-27)

For instance, I tell you in truth: There were many widows in Israel in the days of E·liʹjah when heaven was shut up for three years and six months, and a great famine came on all the land.

26 Yet E·liʹjah was sent to none of those women, but only to a widow in Zarʹe·phath in the land of Siʹdon.

27 Also, there were many lepers in Israel in the time of E·liʹsha the prophet; yet not one of them was cleansed, only Naʹa·man the Syrian.”
(Luke 4:43)
Sokpan irẹn khama iran wẹẹ, “Ẹi mwẹ I ma ya kpe orhu Iyẹn Ne ọ maan na ọghe Arriọba Osanobua vbe avbe ẹvbo ọvbehe rhunmwuda, ọnii ọre Osanobua gie mwẹ ne I do ru.”
But he said to them: “I must also declare the good news of the Kingdom of God to other cities, because for this I was sent.”
(Luke 5:31)
Jesu wanniẹn tama iran wẹẹ, “Emwa ne egbe rran rẹn i bu ọbo, sokpan iran ni khuọnmwi.
In reply Jesus said to them: “Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but those who are ill do.
(Luke 6:20)

Practice giving, and people will give to you. They will pour into your laps a fine measure, pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing. For with the measure that you are measuring out, they will measure out to you in return.”
(Luke 6:45)
Aza emwi esi ne ọ rre ọmwa esi ẹko, ọre ọ ke viọ emwi esi ladian, aza emwi dan ne ọ rre ọmwa dan ẹko, ọre ọ ke viọ emwi dan ladian. Rhumwuda emwi ne ọ rre ọmwa ekhọe ọre unu ẹnrẹn ta ladian.
A good man brings good out of the good treasure of his heart, but a wicked man brings what is wicked out of his wicked treasure; for out of the heart’s abundance his mouth speaks.
(Luke 7:12-15)

As he got near the gate of the city, why look! there was a dead man being carried out, the only son of his mother. Besides, she was a widow. A considerable crowd from the city was also with her.
13 Ugbẹn vbe Nọyaẹnmwa ghi miẹn okhuo na, ohan rẹn to ẹre ẹsẹse, ọna tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Ghẹ ghi viẹ.”
13 When the Lord caught sight of her, he was moved with pity for her, and he said to her: “Stop weeping.”
14 Rẹn keghi khian sikẹ odaro, ọna ye obọ kan ẹkpẹti orinmwi ni, iran ni muẹn keghi mudia, Jesu keghi kha wẹẹ, “Ọmọ okpia, I tama ruẹn, kpaegbe!”
14 With that he approached and touched the bier,* and the bearers stood still. Then he said: “Young man, I say to you, get up!”*
15 Ọmwa nọ te wu ni keghi kpaegbe tota, ọna gha guan. Jesu keghi dọlegbe rhie ẹre ne iyẹ.
15 And the dead man sat up and started to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.
Or “funeral stretcher.”
Or “wake up!”
(Luke 7:13)
Ugbẹn vbe Nọyaẹnmwa ghi miẹn okhuo na, ohan rẹn to ẹre ẹsẹse, ọna tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Ghẹ ghi viẹ.”
When the Lord caught sight of her, he was moved with pity for her, and he said to her: “Stop weeping.”
(Luke 8:1)
Ọ ghi kpẹẹ kherhe, Jesu kegha lele ẹvbo nekhua hia kevbe ne giẹrẹ khian, ọ kegha kporhu iyẹn nọ maan Arriọba Osanobua. Avbe erhuanegbe ẹre ne iweva keghi vbe lelẹe.
Shortly afterward he traveled from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the Kingdom of God. And the Twelve were with him,
(Luke 8:5-8)

“A sower went out to sow his seed. As he was sowing, some of them fell alongside the road and were trampled on, and the birds of heaven ate them up.
6 Eso dele ye otọ okuta, ugbẹn vbe emwiokọ ni ghi zọọ, iran kakaa, rhunmwuda otọ ẹre i mwẹ amẹ.
6 Some landed on the rock, and after sprouting, they dried up because they had no moisture.
7 Eso dele ye uwu ogigban, iran vbe emwiokọ ghi gba wan, igban keghi khuakhua ẹre gbua.
7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns that grew up with them choked them.
8 Emwiokọ eso keghi dele ye otọ ne ọ maan, iran keghi wan, iran mọ ọmọ, ọkpọkpa vbọ iyisẹn iyisẹn.” Jesu keghi rhie tẹ wẹẹ, “Ne ehọ re họn ẹmwẹ, gi ẹre họn.
8 But others fell on the good soil, and after sprouting, they produced 100 times more fruit.” As he said these things, he called out: “Let the one who has ears to listen, listen.”
(Luke 8:11-15)
Emwi ne a ya itan nii kha ọna khin. Emwiokọ ọrọre ẹmwẹ Osanobua.
Now the illustration means this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Emwiokọ ni dele ye adesodẹ ọrọre iran ni te họn, sokpan esu keghi do rhie ẹmwẹ nii hin iran ekhọe rre, ne iran ghẹ miẹn ehe na yayi ne a miẹn iran fan.
12 Those alongside the road are the ones who have heard, and then the Devil comes and takes the word away from their hearts so that they may not believe and be saved.
13 Emwiokọ ni dele ye otọ okuta mudia ye ihe iran ni họn ẹmwẹ nii, iran na ya oghọghọ miẹn rẹn, sokpan ọ ma mu iran ekhọe, iran keghi yayi vbe ẹghẹ kherhe, sokpan edanmwẹ ghi rre, ehia keghi dele.
13 Those on the rock are the ones who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy, but these have no root. They believe for a while, but in a season of testing, they fall away.
14 Emwiokọ ni dele ye uwu igban mudia ye ihe iran ni họẹn sokpan orueghe, ẹfe kevbe orhiẹnrhiẹn agbọn keghi siẹn yan rẹn, iran keghi yẹn ọnrẹn gbua, ọ ma ghi hin obọ arowa.
14 As for that which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, but by being carried away by anxieties, riches, and pleasures of this life, they are completely choked and bring nothing to maturity.
15 Emwiokọ ni dele ye otọ ne ọ maan mudia ye iran ni họn ẹmwẹ ni, iran keghi ye ekhọe esi nọ họn ẹmwẹ dae yi, iran na gha yae khian rhinrin ọ te do mọ.
15 As for that on the fine soil, these are the ones who, after hearing the word with a fine and good heart, retain it and bear fruit with endurance.
Emwiokọ ni dele ye otọ nọ maan mudia ye ihe iran ni họn ẹmwẹ nii, iran na vbe ya ekhọe esi miẹn ọnrẹn yi. Iran na ọre iran ni ya izinegbe mọ ọmọ erhan.
(Luke 8:15)
Emwiokọ ni dele ye otọ ne ọ maan mudia ye iran ni họn ẹmwẹ nii, iran keghi ya ekhọe esi nọ họn ẹmwẹ dae yi, iran na gha yae khian rhinrin ọ te do mọ.
As for that on the fine soil, these are the ones who, after hearing the word with a fine and good heart, retain it and bear fruit with endurance.
(Luke 9:25)
De ere ne ọ rrọọ ne ọmwa, deghẹ agbọn na hia sẹ ọre obọ vbe ne irẹn tobọ ẹre na gu ebi ro. Ẹi zẹdẹ mwẹ esa.
Really, what good will it do a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own self or suffers ruin?
(Luke 9:29-32)

And as he was praying, the appearance of his face changed and his clothing became glitteringly white.*

30 And look! two men were conversing with him; they were Moses and E·liʹjah.
31 Akpa uyi ẹrinmwi keghi rre iran egbe, iran keghi gu Jesu gha ta ẹmwẹ uwu nọ ra wu vbe Jerusalẹm vbe ọ ma he kpẹ, nọ ya mu emwamwa Osanobua sẹ.

13 A few days later, the younger son gathered all his things together and traveled to a distant country and there squandered his property by living a debauched life.

16 And he longed to be filled with the carob pods that the swine were eating, but no one would give him anything.

17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, while I am dying here from hunger!

18 I will get up and travel to my father and say to him: “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

20 So he got up and went to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him and was moved with pity, and he ran and embraced him* and tenderly kissed him.

25 “Now his older son was in the field, and as he returned and got near the house, he heard music and dancing.

26 So he called one of the servants to him and asked what was happening.

28 But he became angry and refused to go in. Then his father came out and began to plead with him.

29 In reply he said to his father, ‘Look! These many years I have slaved for you and never once did I disobey your orders, and yet you never once gave me a young goat to enjoy with my friends.

37 For I tell you that what is written must be accomplished in me, namely, ‘He was counted with lawless ones.’ For this is being fulfilled concerning me.”
38. Avbe erhuanegbe tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Nọyaẹnmwa, ghe umozo eva vbe emwa na.” Rẹn keghi wanniẹn wẹẹ, “Ọni sẹe!”
38 Then they said: “Lord, look! here are two swords.” He said to them: “It is enough.”

41 And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw away, and he bent his knees and began to pray,

42 saying: “Father, if you want to, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place.”

43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.

45 When he rose from prayer and went to the disciples, he found them slumbering, exhausted from grief.

46 He said to them: “Why are you sleeping? Get up and keep praying, so that you do not enter into temptation.”

He then said to them: “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all the things written about me in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and Psalms must be fulfilled.”
